THIS JUST IN! Village to Village Series!
|
|
 |
| “Two villages and four businesses in Northern Michigan’s hospitality scene are coming together in a meaningful way. Village to Village, a new collaborative series running January 13th through April 29th, invites guests to spend time in both the Village at Grand Traverse Commons and the Village of Elk Rapids, celebrating craft, connections, and conversation.
A partnership between Bos Wine and Ethanology Distillation of Elk Rapids and Left Foot Charley and Trattoria Stella of Traverse City, Village to Village offers an experience rooted in shared passion, mutual support, and an overall desire to focus on the fun. Each business will curate their own weekly food and beverage features while welcoming guest stars from the other Village partners to share stories and pour perspectives.
“Hospitality is a team sport. And if you’re doing it right, your team extends beyond your own four walls,” said Amanda Danielson, Owner of Trattoria Stella. “We want to celebrate years of fellowship, cross-village support, and the joy of showing up for one another, quite literally behind each others’ bars.
Features will take place weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, rotating between venues and villages: Tuesdays at Left Foot Charley, Wednesdays at Trattoria Stella, Saturdays at Bos Wine and Sundays at Ethanology (excluding the final Sunday of each month). Examples of the series include, “Uneducated and Unsophisticated Wine and Spirits Tastings,” hosted interchangeably by Nicholas Lefebre (Founder and CEO, Ethanology) and Dave Bos (Owner and Winemaker, Bos Wine) and designed as a “neophyte’s introduction to wine and spirits—with a dose of humility”, and a January “Warba Wine Cocktail” feature at Left Foot Charley, showcasing recipes from Stella’s Deputy Beverage Director, Kristen Warba, and donating $1 per pour towards Interlochen Public Radio.
Village to Village creates a unique opportunity during the slower season for locals to meet the makers, ask questions, and connect directly with the people behind the pours—something that’s often harder to do during busier times, inviting deeper and more meaningful conversations. Over the course of the series, guests can expect library wines, rarer options, thoughtful food and drink features, and an unmistakable sense of community love.
“The best part about being in the wine industry is sharing and celebrating the fruits of our labor by clinking glasses,” said Kristy McClellan, Director of Sales at Left Foot Charley. “Winter is the perfect time to cozy up with locals from our Village [at Grand Traverse Commons] to the Village of Elk Rapids. We look forward to sharing, snacking, and socializing with our favorite folks, Village to Village.”
Open to everyone, from industry professionals to passionate community members, Village to Village encourages guests to mark their calendars and join the road trip along US31 between the two destinations. More event details, weekly features, and guest appearances will be announced on each participating Village business’s social media channels. Follow along for updates, more information to come.
About the Village to Village Collaborators: Bos Wine, Ethanology Distillation, Left Foot Charley, and Trattoria Stella are independently owned Northern Michigan businesses committed to craft and collaboration. The Village to Village partnership was born out of love for sharing this passion with the community.” |
