MWC and Factory Detroit Launches the Official Taste Michigan Website and Social Media!
|
|
Earlier this year, the Michigan Wine Collaborative began working on a marketing strategy to help promote Michigan wines. It’s been a busy year. Working with our creative partner, Factory Detroit Inc., we explored a wide range of ideas, looks and messages. Today, we’re ready to share something important with you.
It’s called “Taste Michigan.”
That’s the brand platform we’ve created to represent our industry when engaging consumers about the quality, character, drinkability, value and diversity of Michigan wines. Taste Michigan is, first and foremost, an invitation … for people to explore and experience the wonders of Michigan wine. Wine tasting is the heart of the wine experience and inviting consumers to Taste Michigan is a sign that we’re not just confident in our product, we’re proud of it. It’s a platform for teaching people what makes Michigan wine unique and why our state is uniquely suited – by geography, climate, soil and the people of our industry – to make the wines we do.
We have a logo – we love it – and there’ll be branded merchandise available soon. We’ve built the first generation of our website, which you can find at TasteMichigan.org. We’ve also set up our social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter (be sure to follow us). We have plenty of social
content to begin filling that channel.

It is time to renew your Michigan Wine Collaborative membership! Many of you are already signed up for automatic renewals. However, if you are not, you should be receiving instructions on how to renew soon. If you have let your membership lapse, now is the time to bring your membership current again as our annual membership cycle begins on September 15th.
Now is also the perfect time to help us recruit new members to the Michigan Wine Collaborative. While we of course offer memberships to wineries and vineyards across the state we also encourage suppliers, vendors, educators, policy makers, retailers, restaurants, hospitality, activists, individual supporters, and more to join us in our mission to enhance the sustainability and profitability of the Michigan wine industry. It’s a all hands-on deck moment for the Michigan wine industry and we need everyone to contribute to help us reach out goals as quickly as possible and make our industry bigger, better, faster.
