| Modales Vineyards and Winery is a winery located in the heart of the Fennville AVA. At Modales our wines are carefully handcrafted. We focus on minimal intervention and native fermentation. This allows our wines to express the terroir from which they were harvested. We specialize in cool climate Vinifera wines with 40 acres currently planted with plans to double the planting within the next few years.
We currently grow the following grapes: Riesling, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Blaufränkisch, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Regent and have small plantings of the following- Teroldego, Lagrein, Petit Manseng, Sauvignon Gris, Semillion, Rkatsetelli, Tannat, Saperavi and Alicante Bouschet.
We’re currently seeking a production/winemaker assistant for our 8,000 case winery. This position will give the ideal candidate the ability to help Modales continue producing minimal intervention wines in SouthWest Michigan. As we allow our wines to express terroir, this position allows the ideal candidate to also express themselves throughout the day-to-day work and be part of the growing wine scene within the Fennville AVA. |
