The 2019 Michigan Gold Medal Reception took place on August 8, 2019 at the Kellogg Center at Michigan State University. This was a culmination of half of a year’s work creating a new competition and reception program due to the transition of the Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council to the Craft Beverage Council. Michigan Wine Collaborative teamed up with the Kellogg Center and MSU School of Hospitality Business to produce this year’s reception and the event went off without a hitch. A new addition to the Gold Medal Reception included a trophy ceremony with sparkling wine service featuring the Best of Class winners being presented their trophies by MWC President, Dave Miller, alongside competition Superintendent, Chris Cook. The Michigan Wine Collaborative would like to thank the entire Michigan wine industry for your artistry and support. Without you a competition would not be possible. We would always like to thank the Kellogg Center and MSU School of Hospitality Business for their partnership in making this event and the competition possible this year. Looking forward to 2020!
